We've had a pile of rain lately, so the obvious thing to do was go check out the lake that's been dry for as long as I can remember. 

Apparently we weren't the only people wondering what the lake would look like. As we approached the Yarrie Lake road, we started to see more and more cars coming and going. It was like half of Narrabri couldn't remember what Yarrie Lake looked like.

So what did it look like? Well, there is water in there. Not deep at all (maybe 10cm on average), but it's still enough that it sort of looks like a lake again. It will take quite a bit more rain to get it back to it's "normal" depth. But the good news is more rain is predicted this week. If the weather keeps up like this, people might even take boats out there again by next summer!
