In an effort to plan a camping trip to Scutt's Hut, Tim, Greg and Matt went off to explore the Maules Creek area. It was suggested that it may have been possible to walk out down the bottom, thus avoiding a 10km uphill walk back out.
Of course no one knew any details, just that it's said to be possible. So we got hold of some maps and set off to find out for ourselves. Conclusion... It appears to be impossible to get there without trespassing on properties.
All was not lost though. We did see some interesting things, including a large gravestone under a tree and some views of the mountains that are very different to what you normally see (due to the completely different angle). It would be nice to get out there and grab some more photos... Maybe on the upcoming "Photographic Adventure"
